Permaculture courses in France, taught in English
Most of my students arrive by ferry or TGV. They come because they want a proper permaculture education in continental Europe, in English, on a real working farm. That is exactly what we have built here in Brittany since 2017.
Afrinoon is one of the few UK-certified, English-language permaculture schools based on a working farm in continental Europe. All courses taught in English. Certified by the Permaculture Association (UK). Karen Noon is also an EuPN Assured Teacher.

Brittany sits closer to the UK, Ireland, Belgium, and the Netherlands than most English-language PDC providers in southern Europe. The Paris-Montparnasse TGV reaches Lorient in 3 hours. Brittany Ferries sails direct from Portsmouth or Plymouth.
What we teach at the farm
Planning a trip from the UK or Ireland?
Brittany’s location makes it one of the most accessible destinations in continental Europe for English-speakers. We have written a longer guide to studying permaculture across Europe in English, including travel notes, certificate recognition, and how the PA UK and EuPN credentials are understood across different countries.
